The new sports center, part of a broader residential and service development (The Garden Lake Estates), is conceived as a civic infrastructure capable of integrating sports activities, services, and collective spaces into a single architectural organism. The complex includes an athletics track with a 7-a-side football pitch at its center, tennis courts with gym, and an indoor facility articulated into three main volumes: the basketball court with stands opening toward the landscape, the 25‑meter swimming pool, and the central body dedicated to technical functions and support spaces. The architecture emphasizes transparency, natural light, and visual continuity with the outdoors, thanks to large glazed surfaces and timber structures that provide warmth, rhythm, and identity.
The central volume houses the reception and administrative offices on the ground floor, together with the vertical circulation, organized to ensure clear flow management and natural control of access. The changing rooms, located in the basement yet directly accessible from the entrance level, optimize circulation, privacy, and functionality. The two upper floors accommodate a multifunctional hall—designed for cultural and recreational activities—and a bar‑restaurant overlooking the surrounding greenery, extending the life of the center beyond sports hours. The project interprets sport as an opportunity for encounter and well‑being, transforming the complex into a place open to the community. Attention to natural light, the use of natural materials, and the presence of collective functions make the center a model of contemporary public architecture, capable of combining efficiency, sustainability, and quality of experience.
